Can I come to look at your animals?
We encourage all prospective buyers to come and visit us here at Ginny Boer Goats. We love to show and talk about our animals. We do not "dress up" the animals for pictures and videos. What you see is what you get, and sometimes the pictures and videos do not do the animals justice.

​Do I need an appointment to look at your animals?
Yes, we do require an appointment to look at our animals. To schedule a visit, please contact us via our website ("Contact Us" / “Let’s Chat”), Email, or Facebook. We typically respond to all messages within 24 hours.

What if we can’t come and look at the animals?
We understand that sometimes a visit to come and look at the animals is not possible. If that is the case, we will do our best to answer any questions you might have about the animal. We will also take additional pictures and videos upon request if there is a specific angle that you are looking for. We have even been known to do video calls between a buyer and the animal. Our goal is to make sure you are getting the animal that you want, and that we get a happy customer!

​Do you disbud your wethers?
Beginning in 2024, when we started selling "wether bred" goats, we started disbudding our wethers.

​What should I do when I find an animal I would like to purchase?
Once you decide to purchase one of our animals, please contact us to make sure the animal is still available. We try to keep the website up to date with the animals that are available, but sometimes life gets in the way, and we find ourselves a little bit behind.

Do you require a deposit to hold an animal?
Yes, we require a 50% deposit to hold an animal, with full payment due before the animal is shipped or at time of pick up. Deposits are non-refundable except in the unlikely event that an animal dies.

What happens if I don’t pick up my animal by the agreed upon date?
We try to flexible on the dates for pickup if we have space available for the animal. We ask that if the date of pick up needs to be changed, we be notified in advance. If advance notice is not given, we charge $3.00 per day for feed and care.

When do goat kids need to be picked up?
Goat kids should be picked up within a week of weaning. If a weaned goat kid is not picked up by the agreed upon date, we charge $3.00 per day for feed and care. If the goat kid is not picked up within 4 weeks of weaning without prior arrangements being made, the deposit will be forfeited and the kid will be put back up for sale.

Who is responsible for the wellbeing of the animal once it is picked up?
Once the animal has been paid for and picked up, Ginny Boer Goats is no longer responsible for the wellbeing or placement of the animal.

​Do you provide an invoice?
Yes, all purchases will include an invoice with the animal, buyer, and seller's information.

When would I get the registration paperwork?
Registration paperwork will be signed and given to the buyer at the time of final payment, if available. If not, this will be disclosed, and arrangements will be made to provide the papers in a timely manner once received.

Do you provide medical records?
Yes, all available medical records will be given at the time of pick up, including shot records.
​
​Do you work with transporters?
Yes, we do work with transporters and can recommend them on request. It is ultimately the buyer’s responsibility to negotiate appropriate transportation and to accept all associated risks.

Do you vaccinate your animals?
Yes, we vaccinate for Caseous Lymphadenitis (CL), Clostridium perfringens type C + D and tetanus (CDT), Orf Virus (Sore Mouth) and Pneumonia.

Do you provide health certificates?
Yes, we will with our vet to provide a Certified Veterinarian Inspection (CVI) per USDA guidelines as required to cross state lines. However, we do not cover the entire cost of the visit and certificate. We ask that the buyer contribute $40 toward the cost of getting the certificate. This will be billed on the invoice that is provided.

​What types of payments do you accept?
We accept Cash, Cashier Check, Money Order or Zelle for payment. Checks will be accepted only with prior purchase history and agreement.
